The Black Raven, White Dove is a
Christian Inspirational Action Adventure Romance By
International Amazon Best-Selling Author Elle Marlow

“Welcome aboard the Raven, Miss Paloma.”

The Blurb

Known as the Ice Pirate, Stefan Ice captains the Raven. A wicked ship filled with treasures and haunting secrets. What’s missing from the Raven’s coffers is revenge, what’s missing from Stefan’s life is love.

Bianca is the jewel in her father’s crown. When she is captured and bound on the Raven, she becomes an unwilling pawn in a feud between her father and the dark pirate. With every rock of the ship, Stefan steals her heart and unravels their tangled and tragic past.

Bianca will need to rely on her faith and her heart to find God’s purpose for her life. Is with the legendary pirate?

Author speaks candidly about the book.

The idea for Black Raven, White Dove was introduced to me by Captain Ice. His image came to mind, and even though he showed himself as a pirate, I could only see the goodness within.  A good man living a hard life deserves a love so powerful and pure, that the only woman for him would have to be a lovely girl he met as a child.  Bianca Paloma, aka, White Dove is only fragile on the outside.  Inside, she is a strong, capable woman who finds her greatest strength through her faith.  They make an unlikely pair as they navigate the Atlantic on the ship that is home to a slew of old sea dogs.  This book has some humor, some sadness, but it is really about finding one’s own worthiness and having a little faith that you are where you need to be.

This is my first Inspy romance.  I fell in love with the genre.  There will be more. Perhaps another pirate tale aboard the Raven?  We’ll see.

Changed My Mind: GASLIGHT DEMONS to go out of print Dec 17th

I know I already said I’d be self-publishing GASLIGHT DEMONS.  I changed my mind.  To quote the song, “It’s my prerogative.”

But, leaving it at that would make me a douche.  So, here are the two reasons I decided to let it go softly into the night (or whatever out of print ebooks do).

1) It was turning into a bigger project than I intended and complications kept rising up.  The stress!!!  Not worth it.
2) This is a past achievement. Rather than trying to keep that alive I’d rather focus my time and energy on making new ones.  Resting on past laurels ain’t my thing. (Bad grammar used for emphasis and drunkenness.)

What does that mean?  You only have 7 days to buy GASLIGHT DEMONS!!!!!  Show me one little bit of love this holiday season.  See what my writing in 2009 was all about.  Pity me?  I’d love for a few more hands to grasp my words before they disappear, regardless of motivation.

Wednesday Habit

I said I would break from posting on Wednesdays between ROW80 rounds.  Yeah, that’s what I said.

However, I’m such a creature of habit that this is freaking me out. (“I’m forgetting soemthing.” “I have to po— Oh, right!” “I like monkeys.”)

To scratch that need, I’m just going to throw this ad at you. Check side bar if interested.

Fearless: An Offer

I’ve been having trouble trying to express this fear.  In essence, it is a fear of inadequacy.  And I think there’s a bit of “fear of rejection” in there too.  And that second part is funny, if you think about it.  I have short stories rejected, so you’d think I’d be okay with it.  But the possible rejection in this scenario seems more personal.  Yes, more stabby-stabby in my hearty-gutty.

What ya talking about, Willis?  Well, Arnold… On certain levels, I’m afraid of other writers.  I’m afraid I’ll be deemed “unworthy” of the title of writer.  I’m afraid of them classifying me as a nobody.  I’m afraid of becoming an outcast.

Now, I wouldn’t say I totally avoided this fear (unlike others).  I have taken small steps to face it and work past it.  Hehe.  Small.  At times itty-bitty.  Minimum effort for certain.  That’s why I am cranking it up a notch!

The Plan
I actually started this a couple of days ago, when I sent out some emails.  One was to a person requesting guest bloggers.  I usually hm and ha over such things and say, “I can’t.”  No more of that ish!

A couple of emails were to friends and a couple were to acquaintances that normally I’d fret over “bothering” with an offer.  I won’t lie, I did fret about sending these out.  But I sent them.  And now, I’d like to share with all the writers out there the offer I made to them:

My blog has posts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (because schedules make me feel secure).  That leaves four days of the week that my blog is left sitting idly.  I think these four days are a great chance for some others to come and pay my readers a visit.  Guest blog posts, interviews, pretty ads, excerpts, contests, vlog/videos, PDF for printable bookmarks, or whatever.  We can work something out!  I’m up for almost anything.

All you have to do is send me an email: Gloria (dot) Weber (at) gmail (dot) com

Also, don’t be like me!  Never fret about contacting me to RT something on Twitter or Share it on G+.  I love helping other authors.  It does my quivering, coward heart good.
