I Write Like?

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I write stories,
They sound like who?

I love those quiz or analyze things.  They never give me what I want and I never think they get it right.  That’s half the fun, though.  Anyways, I decided to run a few of my works through this thing that answers the question “I Write Like”?

First up, I did my full length novel.
GASLIGHT DEMONS

I write like
J. K. Rowling

I Write Like by Mémoires, journal software. Analyze your writing!

I could see why it thought that, but GASLIGHT DEMONS is much more “mature.”

Next, I thought I’d put a WIP through it.  Since it’s my priority this summer, I picked PMGCB (that’s a code name).

I write like
Stephen King

Oh, my!  Um, should I be worried?  This is for kids.  Like first graders!  Guess Daisy Meadows wasn’t an option?

After that shock, I went for the last short story I wrote.  (BTW- The word cloud behind my header image is made from that short story too!)

I write like
Cory Doctorow

I would have preferred Stephen King for this…  I swear, these things hate me.

Now it’s your turn!
Pick a story or novel, finished or in progress and do it too!

Tell me your results in the comments!

  1. I entered a few different scenes (I can’t be botherest to copy and paste entire chapters) and got Corey Doctorow, Arthur Conan Doyle,Arthur Clarke James Joyce, and Ann Rice. O.o

No doubles, either. Apparently I’m extremely inconsistent?

  2. I got Anne Rice for one chapter, JK Rowling for another, and JK Rowling for a short story. I think I’m good with being more parts JK. 😉
